Vascular Access Nurse (PICC) – Tampa, FL

1099 Independent Contractor | Flexible Case Volume | Tampa Bay Area

Are you an experienced vascular access nurse looking for more flexibility in how you work?

Prosperity Placement Solutions is recruiting experienced PICC nurses for a mobile vascular access team serving Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and surrounding communities.

This 1099 independent contractor opportunity is designed for nurses with hands-on PICC insertion experience who want the flexibility to manage their workload based on availability and earning goals.

Compensation and Flexibility

• Estimated annual gross earnings: $90,000–$100,000

• Reported top-performer earnings: $150,000+

• Uncapped earning potential: Earnings can increase with completed case volume.

• Flexible case volume: Available assignments may vary by day and location.

• Workload flexibility: Opportunities to take on additional cases when coverage is needed.

Earnings depend on case availability, completed procedures, and individual workload. These figures represent contractor earnings before taxes and business expenses and should be confirmed against the client's actual compensation data. This is not a guaranteed salary.

Coverage Area

The primary service territory includes:

• Tampa

• St. Petersburg

• Clearwater

• Largo

• Brandon

• Riverview

• Surrounding Tampa Bay communities

This is a mobile, field-based role requiring travel to healthcare facilities, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and other patient-care locations throughout the territory.

Candidates should reside in or near the service area and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform PICC line insertions in accordance with clinical protocols, applicable standards, and facility requirements.

• Provide specialized vascular access services with an emphasis on safe, accurate placement and first-stick success.

• Independently deliver vascular access services within the scope of licensure, demonstrated competency, and assignment requirements.

• Coordinate with facility staff to support patient care and procedural workflows.

• Travel to assigned service locations throughout the Tampa Bay territory.

• Maintain required clinical documentation and follow applicable infection prevention and patient safety protocols.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• At least 100 verifiable PICC line insertions.

• PICC certification highly preferred.

• Demonstrated PICC insertion experience and the ability to work independently within established clinical protocols.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Willingness to travel throughout the Tampa Bay service area.

• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, reliability, and communication skills.

• Ability to meet applicable client, facility, and credentialing requirements.

Independent Contractor Arrangement

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a salaried employee position.

Contractors should review the engagement terms, compensation structure, case availability, payment schedule, travel expectations, and applicable insurance and expense responsibilities before accepting assignments.
