Overview Once fully trained (6 months), this position is part of a hybrid work‑from‑home/on‑site business model: 25% onsite, 75% work from home, subject to change as business needs change. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities Reviews and interprets specialty medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to treatment guidelines. Establishes specialized patient counseling and education on the proper administration, potential side effects, and therapeutic goals of specialty medications. Confers with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and facilitate reimbursement for specialty medications. Conducts most complex medication assessments, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and potential medication‑related problems specific to specialty medications. Assesses patient response to specialty medications, evaluating therapeutic outcomes and adjusting treatment plans. Educates healthcare providers on specialty medications, dosing, drug interactions, and alternative therapies. Integrates with the multidisciplinary care teams, providing clinical recommendations and contributing to treatment decisions for patients requiring specialty medications. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols in the handling, storage, and dispensing of specialty medications. Stays updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in specialty pharmacy practice, incorporating new knowledge into patient care. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. Registered Pharmacist (RPh) required. Current Pharmacist License in good standing in State of Arizona. Reside in the State of Arizona within commutable distance of Chandler, AZ. Preferred Qualifications Advanced problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology. Pay & Benefits Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40 Time Type: Full time Pay Range: The typical pay range for this role is $50.48 – $84.62 per hour. This represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
