Event Planner / Event Coordinator for OceanGuard.org
Ocean Guard is seeking a creative, organized, and highly motivated Event Planner to help develop and execute events that bring people together around ocean conservation.
Our events range from community cleanups and conservation programs to fundraising events, educational programs, networking events, corporate gatherings, and international initiatives . We are looking for someone who can take an idea from concept through execution while creating memorable experiences that strengthen the Ocean Guard mission.
The Event Planner will work closely with Ocean Guard leadership, volunteers, partners, sponsors, venues, and vendors to coordinate successful events locally and as our organization continues to expand internationally.
Responsibilities include:
We are looking for someone who is creative, outgoing, organized, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative . Previous event planning experience is preferred, but we also value entrepreneurial people who can bring fresh ideas and energy to the organization.
An interest in ocean conservation, environmental causes, marine science, sustainability, or nonprofit work is a strong plus.
